    Steeped in history Cwm Morthin is an old slate hamlet nestled at the base of the Moelwyn Mawr Mountain. Find the managers cottage and the old barracks (workers cottages) still there to explore and the old chapel can still be seen.

    There is usually a snack bar by the car park called Debbies snacks or further down the hill is Lakeside cafe for a sit down meal.

    Head further up Cwmorthin with an OS map, snacks and water and enjoy submitting the gorgeous peeks you can see from 120. Please be aware the weather can change quickly and there are some steep edges.

  • Manod Mawr

    A stones through from the house up a steep incline will bring you to Llyn (lake) manod and the mountains of the same name. Explore the old quarry and enjoy the peace and quiet. Venture further up the mountains for a longer walk.
